Project | Cowl Neck Dress
Pattern | Self Drafted
YOU ARE SO LOVED AND WE LIKE HAVING YOU AROUND.
*ties one end of this sentence to your heart, the other end to everyone who loves you, even the ones you haven’t heard from for a while*
*checks knots*
THERE. STAY PUT, YOU.
LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA

I was in a creative rut before I made this cowl neck dress. This was my first project in almost 3 months. So, I went with a very inexpensive fabric…lol – I think I got this for like $5 a yard at the fabric store. I also took a chance on the pattern by deciding to draft it myself. I followed an old tutorial by Tijana and it worked out just fine. I loved the result.
Here are my measurements, if you need the reference:
Size 14
Bust 34″ | Waist 28″ | Hips 38″
Height: 5’7″

Materials
For this project, I used:
- 2 yards of stretchy patterned fabric
- Pattern is self-drafted (watch video for full tutorial)
- Sewing pins and fabric scissors
- Measuring tape/ruler
- Tailor’s chalk or fabric marker
- A sewing machine
